Woolen Rainbow

Жучок 2
Once upon a time
A Grandma of mine
Took some colorful yarn
And knit a rainbow.

She washed it and to dry
She hung it in the sky
So shiny and bright,
Knitted Rainbow.

Red Bird with a wristwatch
Invited it to play hopscotch,
But stayed in the sky
Woolen Rainbow.

Orange Fox near a creek
Said: "Let's play hide-and-seek!"
But it was much too shy,
Little Rainbow.

Yellow Chick in a dress
Looked for someone to play chess,
But stayed high in the sky,
Lonely Rainbow.

Green Frog with its toe
Wanted to play Tic-tac-toe,
But it looked the other way,
Woolen Rainbow.

Blue Crab from a puddle
Wished to make a cat’s cradle,
But it did not come down,
Little Rainbow.

Indigo Butterfly
Wanted both of them fly,
But it hid behind a cloud,
Timid Rainbow.

Violet antelope
Felt like jumping with a jump rope,
But it did not want play,
Lonely Rainbow.

Then all the little creatures
You saw on these pictures
Went to ask my Grandma
About the Rainbow.

And Grandma set to work,
And she made many socks,
Out of colorful yarn
Like a rainbow.

At the end of the day
It came down to play
With all its little friends,
Happy Rainbow.
