Ворона и Чайка.
Ворона чайке говорила
«Сегодня кашу я варила.
Всех воронят я накормила.
Тебе покушать принесла»
В ответ ей чайка отвечала
«А я летала у причала.
Об лёд разбилась и кричала.
Поранила я два крыла.
Меня девчушка подобрала.
И крылья мне забинтовала.
Сказала добрых слов немало.
Как видишь, я теперь цела!»

Crow and Seagull.
Once Carbon Crow told Snowy Seagull:
" ‘ve been cooking porridge all the day.
My babies with spoons hardly jingle.
And here to you some, so to say»
Seagull gave in her turn responding:
"I have been flying at the berth,
And hurt myself on ice of firth,
With wounded wings flew from beyond in.
A little girl did pick me up.
She bandaged my wounded wings.
With lovely words she did chat up.
And now, you see, I’m able to sing!"
