Один мудрец мне рассказал:
«Сапожник»*, один среди грозы,
От безысходности опавший лист метёт -
Семь камней
В почве вдруг,
А в седьмой избе отыскался друг…
И перемены волей случая,
Дают вновь бразды. Откуда?!
Бьются в бушующих морях,
Не видят моряки земли, что так близка,
Но чайка вдруг
В облаках,
И капитан за ней, не мысля – что и как,
Ведь перемены волею судьбы,
Дают вновь штурвал. Откуда?!
Чудо…
Отчаянье гнёт мир,
Но мудрец – смеётся,
И мир смешной в глазах только меркнет, но он верит:
Случайность – это шанс!
Один мудрец мне рассказал:
Фермер, не зная сева срок,
Пришёл к нему спросить, сжимая горсть монет.
Вот чудак!
Плечом пожав,
Деньги взял мудрец, его – послал:
А перемены даст пусть рок тебе
И вожжи даст из ниоткуда,
«Чудо»!
Отчаянье гнёт мир,
Но мудрец – смеётся,
И мир смешной в глазах только меркнет, но он верит:
Случайность – это шанс!
(* - «сапожник» в англ.яз. в пренебрежит. значении - «никудышный работник»)

I heard the old man tell his tale:
Farmer, who knows not when to sow
Consults the old man clutching money in his hand
With a shrug
The old man smiled
Took the money, left the farmer wild
And the changes of no consequence
