I dreamed a wind

I dreamed a wind that played with green and shady pines

Abruptly picked me up and carried me to distant

Unknown wonder lands of never ending shine

Of hottest sun that world forever knew existing.

I saw you walk barefoot through blazing sand, alone,

Your face is dark and parched; your lips are pale and dry.

And empty eyes that don’t recall a single song

Of our life and love and only whisper “why!”

Like scorching breath of wind is rustling over you.

The sense is gone and now the reason is retreating.

They left without a bow and didn’t leave a clue,

As didn’t leave a new and fairly decent teacher.

I hovered over you. I tried to breathe a word

Into your ears, that can my tears become a creek,

But deaf and blind you were and only more and more

The sand was gulping up your footprints, eager quick.

I would be sobbing long but did awake at last

My pillow wet with tears, my heart is rushing wild

I see you next to me in bed asleep and fast

I shrug the eerie dream with everlasting smile.
