Lady Spring

Âëàäèìèð Õîðîøåâñêèé
She’s come already, switchin’ on the Sun, -
The shinin’ lady did it not for fun:
The ground in winter had been frozen through,
But sunny beams must warm lands up – it’s true…

Her lips are moisten by the warm blind rain,
In hands she’s holdin’ hives and sproutin’ grains;
Her smilin’ eyes are perfect, rather young,
So meltin’ ice doesn’t do her any harm!..

Since the moment she’s put on green dress,
Is growin’ up a new great storm of sense,
As well as burnin’ heart and whirlin’ head -
The Spring makes start with clear display of that!..

Fine lady Spring will never let us down,
‘Cause crazy wind can’t blow away her crown;
She makes us happy like a funny child,
Like a cheerful baby with no drop of mind!..

She’s come already, switchin’ on the Sun,
And dancin’ reggae (if her work “well done”)
On magic islands of the rare white clouds;
No time for cryin’ - let’s amuse right now!
