A burnt child dreads the fire,
And you don't know I've been once burnt...
You think I treat you as a liar,
And this is me who feeds these thoughts...
To say is good, to do is better -
And it is said to be the truth.
You promise to be near forever...
Don't want to doubt, but I do...
We soon believe what we desire -
I've had it once upon a time...
I do not think that you're lying
But neither do I think you're right...
I haven't ever meant to hurt you -
I'm just afraid of being hurt...
