To J. I. Collection of Poems 2003-2008

Evgesha
Prologue:
A terrifying ever-changing practicum,
I crashed your organized existence.
You trusted God
to guide me, but I fell
for other men; until
I found your love, cherished and unseen,
It healed me.

I. A New Name

Dear BRIM:
Boring, Reliable, Irritating
Monster.

Another year has passed,
And here comes your long-awaited Birthday!

For this occasion,
Please take my present, a New Name.

You shall be called:
Brave,
Reliable,
Inspiring
Man.

Congrads!
Happy 34th Birthday!
Many more years to come!

II. Composing Poetry:

Gingered, those rainy afternoons
are present yet absent. Now, we rush through parallel worlds.
Only twenty-one only child only trying to live
I struggle with Peoplewholoveme.
I miss you: the poem misses its words.

Living the special intimacy and friendship inside you,
can’t concentrate on my study, nor do any housework.
A crucial part of my soul and my body,
goes wherever you go.
My desks turning a prison.
The prison is turning a struggle.
The struggle is turning into an inspiration.

III. An Engagement:

Hip, bone, hand, nose,
You are here, invisible,
Necessary,
Blessings counting,
By the still waters,
Waiting kindly and patiently.

In the crossroads,
Discovering, reading,
Giving to others and learning, always.
On the other hand of the promise,
I am counting our blessings.

IV. LoVe SoNG
a song of quietness and peace,
a tender moment
scared to miss – I sing.

a stray of hair – in twisted turn
a palm, so gently in lying on the shoulder,
are they yours,
or mine?

a table lamp
I put to sleep.
my lips are yours – to keep.

Epilogue: Future Wedding
Education and careers, parents’ love,
Life’s quick quizzes, relocations,
Changed we are.

Growth of children, parent’s illnesses,
Test of faith, its strength and weakness,
Lay ahead.

Bells are ringing, parents are dreaming,
Choir is singing of martyrdom,
As we wed.

Past is gone and new beginning,
In God, forgiving,
Thank you.
