Blizzard wails past my window,
Covers my porch with mounds of snow.
Diddle time away, cast shadows -
From the wedding ring I wore.
My old cat makes new discovery -
Chairs don’t purr. So he is still.
Blind blizzard in old livery -
Icy staff raps like a bill.
Winter nights! Am I possessed by you?
In your orbs I’m scared to glance...
Teddy bear hangs his head askew -

За окном гудит метелица,
Снег взметает на крыльцо.
Я играю - от бездельица -
В обручальное кольцо.
Старый кот, по стульям лазая,
Выгнул спину и молчит.
За стеной метель безглазая
Льдяным посохом стучит.
Ночи зимние! Кликуши вы,
В очи вам боюсь взглянуть...
Медвежонок, сын мой плюшевый,
Свесил голову на грудь.
