With blood

In the heavens
Among angels deceased
On Earth
Farther and farther
Heavier and heavier
The single soul
Climbing the marble steps
Of the web
All the way into the
God-injured emptiness
Where either enlightenment
Or a body
Turned into a column of salt
He knew neither
